"Thank you for insisting that I keep your emergency number in my phone directory. During a recent fire at the Operations #1 building in Hicksville, not only was I able to call your emergency number at 330 am and get a human being on the other end of the phone, but they had a crew of 15-20 people on site within hours. With this type of pressure cooler situation, it was quite reassuring to have that kind of professional support available to us in that short period of time.

In addition to drying down our building and cleaning up all that debris, it was great not needing to call anyone else in for the duct cleaning component or the electronic restoration portion of the job. The one stop shopping made tracking this job much easier. Also, bar coding all of our electronic equipment so that our employees were able to get their correct equipment was brilliant. With all the relocations we did there was not one piece of equipment misplaced.

I just want you to know that a friend & client of mine called me at home last night with a problem. His daughter came home to her townhouse & discovered that a bird had gotten in it & left droppings all over the place. She didn't know what to do & called her father, who called me. I told them that I didn't think that she was covered under her homeowner's policy (which is not with us - I am in insurance) & might have to pay out of pocket. So, I gave them SERVPRO's number & told them to tell them to let you know that I referred them.

Her father called me just before I came to work to tell me how pleased they are with SERVPRO's service.  They said that they would be there at 9am & they were there (8 people) at 9am on the dot! They started on the 2nd floor & Robin & her father remained on the 1st. Her father told me that that they were so quiet that you would never know that there were 8 people upstairs. When he called me today, they had completed everything upstairs & were about to start downstairs.

A huge I can never, ever, EVER thank you enough as long as I live to Tony and his crew of the happiest, most competent men from SERVPRO of Great Neck/Port Washington who came in here and saved the day. Seriously, I hope you never need them, but if you ever have water, fire, mold… call these guys before you do anything else. They are the bomb.

Tony sat calmly at my table, told me this was 'really no big deal', had me sign all the papers while telling me that he would be out by 5pm (this was at 3pm). 'Um, you and what army?', I asked... And then then the doorbell rang and in came the army.

His guys were gentle with my stuff, respectful of my need to stay organized and neat to the point of sweeping, mopping and hauling off every bit of garbage and debris. They were a whirling dervish of organized chaos. I loved when 'C' (Cecilio) came in and reminded his guys, "Safety first". All this done with genuine smiles! Man I love these guys.

I've used other restoration firms and they come in with older, less sophisticated equipment and sent us the bills directly. SERVPRO had equipment that allowed minimal destruction and yet proper repairs. It was such a pleasure to learn SERVPRO worked with most insurance companies and you didn't even send us the bills but dealt directly with the insurance companies! After working with your company on a few jobs, including a 35,000 square foot water job in a major department store, I have to remark on the fine work that your technicians do. Prior to seeing SERVPRO of Great Neck/Port Washington in action, I never thought much about the importance of bringing in an emergency restoration company. That is no longer the case.

Our Village had a residential hoarding issue that posed a serious threat to the safety of neighboring residents. The homeowner was elderly and unable to correct the situation due to a lack of resources. SERVPRO of GN/PW suggested a viable solution via a tax lien, secured the bid, and was efficient in their cleanup. Despite 6 - 30 yards dumpsters of debris, these professionals got the job done within days. Thanks to them this lifelong resident can stay in her home & the community is now safe.

I want to thank you for taking the time to do the walkthrough for my district's Emergency Ready Profile. This profile came in very handy recently. I received a call at home from my new night maintainer. He called me to ask me where the main water shutoff value was for the boys bathroom. I quickly remembered the profile . . . he was able to look through it and easily find the location of the value for that wing. He was able to make the necessary repairs and avoid a flood!

Given the amount of demolition, I expected there to be much more dust and debris.
