Assisted Living Facility Suffers Storm Damage from Heavy Spring Rains

This Assisted Living Facility on Long Island, NY was under prolonged construction when the unexpected occurred and heavier than normal spring rains entered the structure through open areas all through the roof.  Leaking down into the residential area, water was pooling in the common areas where residents congregate for meals and activities. SERVPRO of Great Neck/Port Washington was called in to mitigate during the continued rains and then clean up when the weather event was over.  Drying out the common areas as efficiently and rapidly as possible is best for all concerned as there are many residents who are elderly and fragile - slips and falls could be catastrophic.
