Hurricane Irene Storm Damage - Oceanside, NY

This Oceanside New York home suffered water damage from Hurricane Irene in August 2011, which hit Long Island, flooding low laying areas.  When we arrived we found standing water all through the residence, drenching appliances, furnishings and personal effects. SERVPRO of Great Neck/Port Washington was brought in to extract water, dry out and clean the home.  There was considerable hidden water behind walls - in damp areas that could have contributed to mold growth.  Our goal was to restore the home and eliminate the potential for mold to grow by removing the food sources - water/moisture and damp organic materials.
