Long Island Home Sustains Roof Damage From Storm

This house suffered a terrible blow to the roof and window area, that let gallons and gallons of water pour in, causing lots of damage to the structure and contents while also disrupting the family. SERVPRO of Great Neck/Port Washington arrived to carefully salvage, clean and contain the furnishings that could be saved, conducting inventory cataloging for the insurance company.  Wet drywall and damaged plywood were removed, dirt and water were removed and areas cleaned thoroughly.  Wet areas were dried out over several days to keep wood floors from buckling and rot.  Porous areas were dried to prevent mold growth and odors.
