Hospital Electrical Fire - Long Island, NY

This winter hospital fire was likely a result of a malfunctioning light fixture in a utility closet.  Fires in an active hospital with admitted patients are a critical situation, especially during the cold February winter that we are experiencing - for both patients and personnel.  Fires like this must be remediated quickly, safely and efficiently and special attention given to sensitive electronic and diagnostic equipment in the area.  SERVPRO of Great Neck/Port Washington was ready for the call when it came in over night, and we were quickly on site and busy at work removing all damaged and water sodden materials, cleaning smoke and soot, finishing in a few days.
