Storm Damages Home Gym - Long Island, NY

This LI home had major roof damage during Hurricane Irene, where the roof was wide open and rainwater streamed inside and down to lower levels, causing damage as it went.  The home gym received a lot of water damage and subsequently, SERVPRO of Great Neck/Port Washington was called to remediate.  

Once our team was on site to assess the situation, a plan was decided and work began.  Wallboard had to be cut out all round as the gypsum had soaked in water, and carpet removed.  Air movers were required to dry out the structure before replacement of the finishes can happen to avoid secondary damage (mold).
